Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, President of Brazil, enunciated his appreciation for the S. S. Rajamouli film RRR while he was at Delhi for the G20 summit. When asked about India, Mr. Lula answered he admired RRR.

“RRR is a three-hour feature film and it has really funny scenes with beautiful dance in the film. There is a deep critique of British control over India and Indians. I really believe this film should have been a blockbuster all around the world”, said Mr. Lula. He further added that he congratulates the director and artists because it “enchanted” him.

S. S. Rajamouli, director of the blockbuster RRR wrote his gratitude for Mr. Lula”s “kind words” on X (formerly twitter).

Mr. Lula also added that if anyone mentioned India in their conversation, he would ask them if they watched RRR. The Oscar winning film is directed by Mr. Rajamouli.
