The prestigious moment of the Kpop supergroup BTS has been etched in history as its member, Jin, carried the Olympic torch in France on Sunday. Busting in excitement, fans have flooded social media after photos from the historic event of Jin representing South Korea in the Olympics 2024 surfaced.
The start of the Olympics 2024 has set the whole world with excitement around it. Ever since the announcement, fans of the K-pop singer have been waiting to witness this historic moment.

On July 14, BTS member Jin proudly carried the Olympic flame through Paris as the first torchbearer with the message of unity and peace, for the 2024 Paris Olympics, coinciding with Bastille Day, the French National Day. This historic moment was captured in real-time as Jin carried the torch at the Louvre Museum, representing the Republic of Korea. With this, Jin marked history by being the first Korean singer to carry the Olympic torch overseas.

The singer expressed his gratitude for this participation through a video released through the BTS agency HYPE, where he said, ” I’m very honored to participate in the torch relay today.”

Notably, the singer completed his mandatory military service in South Korea on July 12. And now, aside from the torch relay, he is scheduled to release a solo album this year and has completed filming for an MBC variety show called “The Half-Star Hotel” in Lost Island. The episodes are set to be broadcast soon.
The Paris Olympics torch began its journey in Marseille, southern France in May and concluded its route to Paris and other provinces on June 15. The torch will again make its way back to Paris for the opening ceremony on July 26. Along with the K-pop star, former French soccer star Thierry Henry and Chinese pianist Lang Lang are slated to participate as torchbearers in downtown Paris.
