Nolan will direct and write the screenplay with his wife, Emma Thomas, producing under their Syncopy banner. This may mark Holland and Nyong’o’s inaugural collaboration with Nolan, while Damon returns for their third joint venture.
The film will be Nolan’s 13th directorial endeavor, following the critical success of Oppenheimer, which won several Academy Awards.
Robert Pattinson, fresh from his Tenet success, joins the cast amidst a bustling schedule. He is set to reprise his role as the Caped Crusader in The Batman sequel and will feature in A24’s Primetime, which is a gripping thriller inspired by To Catch a Predator.
Additionally, Pattinson will star in Bong Joon-Ho’s sci-fi comedy Mickey 17, hitting theaters on April 18, 2025.

This project solidifies Nolan’s partnership with Universal Pictures, following his departure from Warner Bros. in 2020. Unlike Oppenheimer, which was acquired through an open auction, Universal has secured Nolan’s upcoming film directly, and this sets expectations high as the audience awaits Nolan’s meticulous masterpiece.
