Contemporary Subject With Timeless Characters: Shah Rukh Khan On Suhana Khan’s The Archies

After many celebrities praised the trailer of “The Archies,” the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has also shared a post about his daughter Suhana Khan’s movie. “The Archies” marks Suhana Khan’s debut, and the movie is scheduled for release on Netflix in December. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, known for films like “Luck By Chance,” “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,” “Dil Dhadakne,” and “Gully Boy,” the movie also introduces other star kids, including Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda.

Referring to the fight of Archie Andrews (portrayed by Agastya Nanda) and his friends to conserve the identity of Riverdale, Shah Rukh Khan, currently enjoying the success of “Pathaan” and “Jawan,” mentioned that this version of “The Archies” addresses a contemporary subject with timeless characters.

“The Archies… thrown into a world that is very fable-like. Zoya has created such an innocent and pristine quality in the film, maybe just like our world could be with a more responsible outlook towards the environment. All the best to the entire team involved in this sweet and meaningful fun film,” wrote Shah Rukh Khan on X.

The trailer starts with a train coming to Riverdale hill station. From there on, it was all music, dance, friendship, freedom, protest, love, heartbreak and to finish it up, some “cakes and shakes”. The trailer introduces the most loved characters like Archie, Veronica played by Suhana Khan and Betty played by Kushi Kapoor.

The story at Riverdale was filled with young love and fun until Veronica’s father decides to expand his business at the cost of Riverdale. The teens of Riverdale come together to protect their lovely village. The Indian Adaptation of the American comic will get to audience on December 7th via Netflix. The original character of The Archies was created by Bob Montana and John L. Goldwater.
