Exclusive: Fahadh Faasil To Work Again With Jithu Madhavan For Next

Riding on the initial positive reports of Aavesham from both box office and critics alike, Fahadh Faasil has reportedly committed another project with Jithu Madhavan, the promising young director of the movie. A source has confirmed to Timeline that the Pushpa actor has already signed a deal with the Romancham director for his next multi-lingual movie, which is expected to hit the floors soon after completing his ongoing projects in Telugu and Tamil. The initial collection reports of Aavesham, in which the versatile actor Fahadh Faasil donning a quirky gangster, shows that the action-cum-comedy flick has already surpassed Rs 11.35 crores in Indian market – a decent beginning for a Malayalam movie.

Aavesham is the second movie of Jithu Madhavan who started off with Malayalam industry’s surprise hit Romancham in 2023, a comedy-horror film. Romancham had raked in more than Rs 70 crores, an unexpected sum of box office record for a new comer in the southern state. Both the movies, Aavesham and Romancham are based in Bangalore, and according to reports, the movies are based on experiences of Mr Madhavan who had studied engineering in the city.

Fahadh Faasil, son of acclaimed Malayalam director Faasil, has more than 50 movies in his credit from various South Indian languages including Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. His crossover hit Pushpa: The Rise (2021), also starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, has been the second biggest movie in his career so far as the movie had raked in more than Rs 350 crores in box office. The second edition of the Sukumar directed movie ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is expected to release on August 15 this year.

Fahadh Faasil was part of Kamal Haasan blockbuster from Lokesh Kanagaraj Universe, Vikram, and the movie has done a business of more than Rs 450 crores, which is the biggest performance of the actor in box office so far.

Otherwise, a gifted actor, many critics have this opinion that Fahadh is one of best actors active in Indian film industries currently. His choice of films and acting capacities have helped the Alappuzha-born 41-year-old to cement this position. Chaappa Kurishu, Akam, 22 Female Kottayam, Annayum Rasoolum, Amen, North 24 Kaatham, Artist, Iyobinte Pusthakam, Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Malik, Joji, Maamannan, Super Deluxe, Trance and Kumbalangi Nights have been his best performances so far. He also has several awards, including National Film Awards, Kerala State Film Awards and Filmfare South Awards, in his credit.

Apart from Pushpa 2: The Rule, Maareesan with Super Good Films and Vettaiyan Rajanikanth are his upcoming movies.
