Finally, Mohanlal’s Important Announcement On Drishyam 3
Malayalam actor Mohanlal announced that there will be another sequel to the much-acclaimed Drishyam franchise. “The Past Never Stays Silent. Drishyam 3 Confirmed!” he wrote on social media along with a photo which has director Jithu Joseph and producer Antony Perumbavoor in it.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the update they’ve been hoping for, especially after the success of Drishyam and its sequel, Drishyam 2.

Drishyam, a movie series created by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas starring Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil, follows the story of Georgekutty and his family. They find themselves under suspicion when Varun Prabhakar, the son of an inspector-general of police, goes missing.
The first film in the series, Drishyam, was released on December 19, 2013, and became a major success both critically and at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing Malayalam film at the time. It was praised for its gripping narrative and well-crafted suspense.
Though initially, Jeethu had no plans for a sequel, the producer suggested continuing the story. As a result, Jeethu began working on the screenplay for Drishyam 2, which was filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The sequel, Drishyam 2: The Resumption, was released on February 19, 2021, through Amazon Prime Video. Set six years after the events of the first film, it continues the family’s journey as they face the consequences of their past actions. The sequel was also critically acclaimed, with many calling it one of the best sequels in Indian cinema.
When its other sequel, Drishyam 3, was announced today, fans immediately flooded social media with messages and comments, eagerly awaiting to find out what happens to the family after all the chaos they’ve endured.”Woaah !! The biggest brand sequel is back,” an Instagram user commented.
The team has yet to provide any updates regarding the shooting, cast, or other details, leaving fans eagerly awaiting more information.
However, expectations are high, many hoping for a theatrical release, adding to the anticipation surrounding the next chapter of the Drishyam saga.
