In a heartfelt statement, director Gautham Vasudev Menon opened up about the challenges leading to the delay in the release of his highly anticipated film, “Dhruva Natchathiram,” originally slated for November 24. The movie boasts a stellar cast including Vikram, Ritu Varma, R. Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran, and Vinayakan.

Menon, one of Tamil industry’s most critically acclaimed and commercially successful directors, notably for his romantic films Minnale (2001), Vaaranam Aayiram (2008), Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010), his cop action thrillers Kaakha Kaakha (2003), Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006), Yennai Arindhaal (2015) and his gangster drama Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu (2022), expressed his deep commitment to the project, describing it as a culmination of vision, passion, and unwavering dedication.

Despite facing obstacles, he reassured fans that their shared enthusiasm for the film remains undiminished. In the statement, Menon acknowledged the disappointment associated with missing the initially announced release date but affirmed the team”s relentless efforts to overcome hurdles.

“When we announced the release date as 24th of November, we tried moving mountains to make it happen. We would be lying if we said we”re not disappointed with not being able to meet the date,” Menon stated.


However, the director conveyed gratitude to the audience for their unyielding support, referring to them as the film”s “biggest cheerleaders.” He emphasized that the team has not given up on “Dhruva Natchathiram” and is actively working to ensure its global theatrical release soon.

“As we navigate these final stages, we eagerly anticipate the day we can share our creation with you. The film will soon see the light of the day, and we can”t wait to embark on this cinematic journey of John & Team Basement together with you,” Menon concluded, leaving fans with a sense of anticipation for the eventual unveiling of “Dhruva Natchathiram.”
