GDN First Look Out: R Madhavan To Star In GD Naidu's Biopic (Image-Instagram/actormaddy)
R. Madhavan, widely known for his portrayal of diverse characters, especially real-life inspired characters, announced his next biopic titled GDN. The first look and the official announcement of the Krishnakumar Ramkumar directorial was unveiled today.
The versatile actor announced an interesting take on the biopic of the legendary Indian scientist GD Naidu. In this project, Madhavan will explore the life and the groundbreaking contribution of GD Naidu to the field of electrical engineering.

GD Naidu, also known as the Edison of India and the ‘Wealth Creator of Coimbatore.’ He developed India’s first electric motor in 1937, which later paved the way for various explorations in the field.
The biopic featuring the life of the Indian scientist boasts an impressive supporting cast including Priyamani, Yogi Babu and Jayaram. It is jointly produced by the actor and his wife, Sarita Madhavan, among others. The music for the biopic will be composed by Govind Vasantha, adding an emotional and powerful layer to the narrative.
Unveiling the first-look poster and the development of the film, Madhavan on his social media handle wrote, “Need all your blessings and good wishes.” The makers also claim the film to be a story of innovation, resilience, and inspiration.

R. Madhavan is known for his biographical portrayals and contributions to his projects. His 2022 biographical drama, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, received praise for his performance and his noble intention. The film was also premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
