The 81st Golden Globe Awards were announced on January 8, and biggest winners include Oppenheimer, The Bear, Succession, Beef and Anatomy of a Fall. The Globes has been hosted by comedian Jo Koy.

Oppenheimer bagged top honours namely Best Motion Picture (Drama), Christopher Nolan  for “Best Director” and Cilian Murphy for “Best Performance”. Receiving awards by Ludwig Göransson for “Best Score” and Robert Downey Jr for “Best Supporting Actor”, Oppenheimer went home with 5 awards. Meanwhile, Anatomy of a Fall clinched awards for “Best Non-English Language Film”, and the “Best Screenplay (Motion Picture)” by Justine Triet and Arthur Harari.

On the Television side, the fourth and final season of Succession dominated the scene with wining four awards including “Best Television series (Drama)” award. When Kieran Culkin secures “Best Actor” award for Succession, Sarah Snook won “Best Actress” award and Matthew Macfadyen received the title for “Best Supporting Actor”.

Meanwhile, Lily Gladstone, for her role as Mollie Burkhart in Killers of the Flower Moon, wins for the “Best Performance” by an actress in a Motion Picture. And, for the role Bella Baxter in the Poor Things, Emma Stone grabbed the title of “Best Actress” in a Motion Picture, Musical, or Comedy. Though Barbie nominated for 9 awards, could gather only two awards – inaugural “Cinematic and Box Office Achievement” award, and Billie Eilish and Finneas for the “Best Original Song”, What Was I Made For?.

Similarly, in the television race, The Bear earns “Best Television Comedy” award, “Best Actor” award for Jeremy Allen White, “Best Actress” award for Ayo Edebir. Other remarkable achievement include Neflix series Beef smashing the Golden Globe Award for “Best Limited Series”, Steven Yeun for “Best Actor Award”, and Ali Wong for “Best Actress Award”.

Furthermore, Ricky Gervais, “Ricky Gervais: Armageddon” won Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television. Elizabeth Debicki winning B”est Supporting Female Actor (Television)”, Da”Vine Joy Randolph earning “Best Supporting Female Actor (Motion Picture)” and The Boy and the Heron receiving “Best Animated Picture Award” were also other noteworthy wins at the Golden Globe.
