Shankar expressed his views over Game Changer‘s output in his recent interview. Expressing his unsatisfaction with the making, he said, “I am not completely satisfied with the output of Game Changer; I should have done better. Many good scenes have been trimmed due to time constraints. Total duration came more than five hours…we have cut down a few things to acquire a sculpture.”

The statement of the director is facing backlash amidst other factors, which showed the film in a bad light. Since the film was made on an expensive budget of Rs 500 crores, netizens considered it an irresponsible action of the director.

Another user wrote, “This much experienced director is still struggling to build a sculpture in perfect time. U can’t simply say we made for 5 hours duration; it’s simply that you are wasting the time and effort of many technicians. Why can’t Shankar-like directors come and do somewhat lower-budget movies?”
