Major Accident On Sets Of Ram Charan’s 'The India House': Water Tank Bursts, Several Crew Members Injured

A major accident has rocked the sets of The India House, the much-anticipated period drama and debut production venture of actor-producer Ram Charan. On Wednesday, during filming near Shamshabad, Telangana, a water tank suddenly burst, causing extensive flooding and reportedly injuring several crew members.

According to the reports, the mishap led to serious injuries to an assistant cameraman and minor injuries to a few other crew members. The production was immediately brought to a halt as chaos ensued on the set. Emergency medical aid was provided to the injured, who were rushed to a nearby hospital.


Several videos from the accident site are now circulating on social media, giving viewers a grim look at the scale of destruction caused by the tank’s burst. The visuals show flooded sets, damaged equipment, and crew members frantically trying to salvage what they can. The sudden gushing of water not only disrupted filming but also raised safety concerns among the cast and crew.


Sources told India Today that the accident took place without warning and resulted in significant property damage, leaving parts of the elaborate set completely submerged. The exact cause of the water tank burst remains unclear at this time.

The India House is a historical period drama set in 1905, during the Indian freedom movement. The film explores the intertwined themes of love, revolution, and patriotism during colonial India. The movie stars Nikhil Siddhartha, known for his roles in Karthikeya, Spy, and 18 Pages, in the lead role. He is joined by Saiee Manjrekar and veteran actor Anupam Kher in prominent roles.

Directed by Ram Vamsi Krishna, the film is being produced under V Mega Pictures, a production company launched by Ram Charan. The movie was officially announced with a teaser released on VD Savarkar’s 140th birth anniversary in 2023.
