According to reports, Sunjay Kapur reportedly collapsed while playing polo in the UK.
Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor’s former husband and industrialist Sunjay Kapur died of a heart attack in England on June 12. He was 53.
Shortly after, sister Kareena Kapoor Khan and her husband Saif Ali Khan visited Karisma at her Mumbai residence. Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora and husband Shakeel Ladak also visited her last night.

Sunjay Kapur’s death was confirmed by author and columnist Suhel Seth, who expressed his condolences on social media platform X.
According to reports, he reportedly collapsed while playing polo in the UK.
Son of industrialist Dr Surinder Kapur, founder of the Sona Group, Sunjay Kapur is a well-known Indian businessman. He served as the Chairman of Sona Comstar, a global automotive technology company supplying critical systems and components to electric vehicle and conventional vehicle manufacturers across the world.
Kapur also served as the President of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA).
Sona Comstar released a statement expressing their condolences. “A visionary leader, Mr. Kapur played a pivotal role in shaping Sona Comstar into a global mobility technology company built on innovation, sustainability, and purpose. His passion, foresight, and relentless commitment to excellence inspired everyone who had the privilege of working with him,” read the statement.
“His loss is deeply felt across the industry and within the Sona Parivar,” it added.

He married actress Karisma Kapoor in 2003. The couple divorced in 2016 after Karisma accused him of forcing her to sleep with his friends on their honeymoon. She also alleged that Sunjay had asked his mother to slap her when she was pregnant. They share two children, Samaira and Kiaan. Kapur was occasionally spotted in Mumbai spending time with his kids.
Following his divorce, he married Priya Sachdev, former model and businesswoman. They welcomed a son, Azarias, in 2018.
