Shah Rukh Khan is making headlines as he is set to leave his iconic residence, Mannat, which has been the point of attraction, especially for his fans. The actor, along with his family, will be moving to a rented luxury apartment for a short period of time.

The Khan family is moving out of Mannat as the property will be undergoing a renovation process. As per reports, the extension and renovation works on the luxurious residence will start in May 2025. The project will reportedly take around two years for completion.

Citing these renovation works, the Khans will be shifting to the Pali Hill in Bandra, where prominent actors have leased four floors of a luxury apartment built by producer Vashu Bhagnani.

Even though his new residence is not as spacious as Mannat, reports reveal that there is enough space to accommodate Shah Rukh’s security and other staff. For this new residence, the Jawan actor will reportedly be paying a monthly rent of Rs 24 lakh for the flats.

Reportedly, Gauri Khan, the interior designer and the wife of the Bollywood star, has been planning to add two new floors worth Rs 25 crore to their Mannat residence. It is also reported that Gauri reportedly filed an application with the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA), requesting permission for the renovation in November 2024.

On the work front, Shah Rukh is busy filming King, where he will share the screen with his daughter Suhana Khan. The film is expected to hit theatres around 2026.

Meanwhile, preparation for his next sequel, Pathaan 2, is also set to begin in the last quarter of this year. The actor will be reprising his role as the spy Pathaan, and Deepika Padukone as Rubina.
