Age is just a number for this South Indian actor. Kamal Haasan, who is 69 is heading to the US in order to study Artificial intelligence at a top institute. As per the report, he left for the US this past weekend to start a 90-day course in AI.

The actor who has done some exemplary work in Indian cinema is expected to attend for only 45 days due to professional commitments back in India. Kamal seems to incorporate AI in his future projects.

In an earlier interaction with DH in Abu Dhabi, he talked about his interest in the new technology. “I have a deep interest in new technology, and you can often see my films experimenting with the latest technological developments. Cinema is my life. All my earnings have gone back into my films by various means. I’m not merely an actor, but a producer too, and I reinvest everything I earn from movies into the industry,” he said.

Kamal’s decision has come at a moment when AI is playing a prominent role in the filmmaking and entertainment sectors.

This move has sparked interest in how he might integrate his newfound knowledge of AI into his future projects.

The actor in the midway of his course will return to fulfill his ongoing work obligations and work on his films Thug Life, Indian 2 and Kalki 2898 AD.

On the work front, Kamal Haasan in his last film, Indian 2, played a 100+ plus old action star, and relied heavily on prosthetic for his look. Also, in Nag Ashwin’s blockbuster epic sci-fi spectacle Kalki 2898 AD, he played the chief antagonist Yaskin, in which his look was achieved through heavy VFX.

He is expected to continue his part in a longer role in the upcoming sequence. Kamal was also seen in  Shankar’s historical drama Indian 3 and Mani Ratnam’s action drama Thug Life next year.
