Dinjith Ayyathan’s sophomore directorial venture, Kishkindha Kaandam a gripping Malayalam psychological thriller released today September 12. The film boasts an ensemble cast starring Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali in the key roles, with superb supporting roles that include Vijayaraghavan, and Jagadish.

The movie is about strange things happening in a place where a plethora of monkeys have been seen and widely inhabited at the abode. The movie travels through the life of a newlywed couple and forest officials attempting to figure out what’s causing these strange events.

When the trailer was released social media have been abuzz with anticipation that the storyline is intriguing yet interesting. A user wrote on X that he had been eagerly waiting for the movie to hit theatres to watch Asif Ali‘s stellar performance.


Many users said that several meaningful layers in the writing can be construed only when we pay meticulous attention and the storyline will make us sit at the edge of our seats. However, another user wrote that he was disappointed with the screenplay yet the beginning and climax did justice to the storyline.


An X handle praised Asif Ali for his magnificent acting skills and applauded Vijayaraghavan for his natural way of dialogue delivery.
