Krystyna Pyszkova of Czech Republic won the 2024 Miss World title, during a grand event held at Mumbai. The reigning Miss World Karolina Beilawska of Poland crowned Pyszkova at the star-studded finale.

Pyszkova is doing a dual degree in Law and Business Administration, and also works as the model. She established Pyszkova foundation and actively involves in its initiatives, as said in Miss World website.

Yasmina Zaytoun, Miss Lebanon was named as the first runner-up of the contest. It is after 28 years, India has hosted the event. 22-year-old Sini Shetty, who was crowned as the Femina Miss India World 2022, represented India during the event. She did not make it to the top four of the contest.

India had won the prestigious title of Miss World six times. Reita Faria in 1966, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 1994, Diana Hayden in 1997, Yukta Mookhey in 1999, Priyanka Chopra Jonas in 2000, and Manushi Chillar in 2017.

It is the 71st Miss World pageant. The event witnessed the participation of contestants from 112 countries across the globe. It was held at Jio World Convention Centre in the BKC. The 12 judge panel included, film producer Sajid Nadiadwala; actors Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde; cricketer Harbhajan Singh; news personality Rajat Sharma, social worker Amruta Fadnavis; Vineet Jain, MD of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Limited; Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organization; Jamil Saidi, Strategic Partner & Host – Miss World India, and three former Miss Worlds, including Manushi Chillar.

The event was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and former Miss World Megan Young. Priyanka Chopra Jonas video message on the importance of “beauty with purpose”, a tagline that is associated with the Miss World Pageant was also played during the event.
