Late Actor Sajid Khan And His Relation With Kerala's Kayamkulam

Sajid Khan, veteran Bollywood actor, who was in his early 70s died after battle with cancer. The once famous Bollywood star is now resting at a cemetery at Kayamkulam in Alappuzha district of Kerala. Interestingly, the Keralites did not recognize Mr Khan, who has been staying in Kerala for a decade now, until his demise. Only after his death did they realized he was the famous Sajid Khan of Bollywood. After being hospitalized for nearly 19 days, Mr Khan died on December 22.

The relation between Kerala and Sajid Khan was rooted to his second wife Sanjusha Khan. Mr khan fell in love with Sanjusha during one of his visits to Kerala for vacation. He married her with consent from his first wife Seenath Khan who was in Mumbai. The relation between Sanjush Khan and Seenath Khan was is said to be cordial, as reported by Madhyamam, a Malayalam media house.

Mr Khan was introduced to the realm of acting by well known film maker Mehboob Khan who was his foster guardian. His first movie was Mother India, which was released in 1957, by Mehboob Studios. The actor was only six years old. The movie was nominated for Oscar. After Mother India, he took up the role of a titular character in Mehboob Khan’s Son of India, making him famous. Sajid Khan found his global stardom for his role as a local boy Raji in the movie Maya.

He appeared in an episode of American TV show The Big Valley and was a guest judge in a music show It’s Happening. He is also famous in Philippines for his roles in movies like The Singing Filipina, The Prince and I and My Funny Girl.
