Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ featuring Mohanlal in the lead role, released on January 25th, has created a ruckus on social media platforms. The much-awaited film has sparked a Twitter storm of enthusiastic reactions. 

From the first-day first show responses, the audience has termed it to be a ‘spectacle’. A cinephile called it a ‘pure cinematic masterpiece’ on X.

He wrote, “wammala this is cinema. Lijo has utterly deconstructed the conversational cinematic grammar again with his latest outing #MalaikottaiVaaliban . this visual extravaganza deserves a theatre watch. A pure cinematic masterpiece”. 

While another movie buff said “2nd half is way better than first half in every aspect. That post interval block was well taken and movie ended in a good note too As usual, this one won”t cater to every type of audience, but is definitely a good watch. A typical LJP formulaic movie.”

Another user stated that the film felt like a remake of the director’s 2015 film ‘Double Barrel’. He wrote, “LJP just remade DOUBLE BARREL in another universe, with more frequent high moments”. 

Speaking on the film’s visual extravaganza, another wrote, “#MalaikottaiVaaliban First half is super impressive Visual Quality and Ambience#Lalettan perfo uncountable “ITH THAAN CINEMA”moments till now…. In Second half… There will be blood splash”.

While another wrote applauding the climax of the film, “Theatre Experience!! Climax Watch #MalaikottaiVaaliban In THEATRES Only.. NB: Dont Trust Some Parallel Universe Pages Reviews”.

The film scripted by PS Rafeeque, ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ also marks Mohanlal’s first collaboration with Lijo Jose Pellisery. The film is simultaneously released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi.
