The one thing for which GVM fans have been waiting till date since 2017 is the release of the spy action thriller Dhuruva Natchathiram, and for unknown reasons, the release of the film is still halted.
Director Gautam Vasudev Menon, the man of magical creations, recently opened up about his unreleased directorial with actor Chiyaan Vikram. Initially announced in 2017, the film Dhruva Natchathiram seems to be stuck in an endless loop of rescheduling, facing various hindrances.

Due to financial and legal issues, the most anticipated film of the Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu director remains unreleased. After years, the director who is gearing up with his investigation thriller with Mammootty, Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse, has unveiled the reason behind the unreleased film and his state of helplessness.
Speaking in an interview with YouTuber Madan Gowri, GVM said that the buzz around the film is what kept him going, and he was surviving because of that. Citing other reasons behind the film’s issues, he also added that otherwise, it would have been impossible to sail past the pressures surrounding the film.
Citing financial struggles that the film faced, the director and actor mentioned how none of the people from the Tamil film fraternity came out and helped him in his time of need since such an ambitious project of his got stuck in endless rounds of postponement.
He said, “When Dhruva Natchathiram faced release issues, hardly anyone from the industry even called to enquire what happened. Nobody bothered.” But he also never forgot to address the person who cared about it.

He said that Dhanu and director Lingu Swamy were the only people who tried to help him and constantly kept on checking. GVM also pointed out that even though there were no problematic factors present in the film, producers were not ready to launch it.
Assuring the fans, stating that the film still had the potential to bag a theatrical release, the director said that he is now focusing on the release of Dhuruv Natchthiram. The film stars Vikram, alongside an ensemble cast consisting of Ritu Varma, R. Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran, and Vinayakan.
