'Ramayana' First Look Poster Out: Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi's Film Gets Release Date

The massive adaptation of Ramayana has intrigued audiences with its big budget and leaked set photos. Ranbir Kapoor’s epic adaptation film Ramayana has got an update. The Nitesh Tiwari directorial, featuring actress Sai Pallavi, has locked the film’s release date with an intriguing thematic poster.

With Ranbir Kapoor portraying Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, the exploration of the Ramayana adaptation is planned to release in two parts. As per the official announcement, Ramayan Part 1 will be hitting the screens on Diwali 2026, and Ramayan Part 2 will be releasing on Diwali 2027.

In the official statement, Namit Malhotra, the producer of the film, said, “More than a decade ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen. And today, I am thrilled to see it taking shape beautifully as our teams work tirelessly with only one purpose: to present the most authentic, sacred, and visually stunning adaptation of our history, our truth, and our culture – our “RAMAYANA”– for people across the world. Join us as we fulfill our dream of bringing our greatest epic to life with pride and reverence… Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.”

The makers also released the first poster of the film today. The thematic poster features an arrow aimed amidst the galaxy and is coated with a golden glow. The poster reads, “Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana.” It also announces the release dates, “Part: I Diwali 2026″ and “Part: II Diwali 2027.”

The announcement comes weeks after KGF star Yash confirmed his portrayal as Raavan in this epic creation. Moreover, the actor is also fulfilling his duties as a co-producer. Diwali in 2026 is set to take place on November 8, whereas Diwali 2027 will be on October 28. Besides Ranbir and Yash, the film stars Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara.
