Actress Rashmika Mandanna has been appointed as the National Ambassador for Promoting Cyber Safety by the Indian Cyber crime Coordination Centre (14C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The actress, who had her deepfake AI generated video going viral last year, aims to raise awareness on cybercrime and online security. Her personal experience adds weight to her new role as she emphasise the importance of cyber awareness.

The Animal actress shared a video to announce that she has been appointed the brand ambassador of I4C. “Let’s unite to build a safer cyberspace for ourselves and future generations. I want to bring awareness and protect as many of you as possible from cybercrimes so as I take on the role of brand ambassador for I4C,” she wrote.

Speaking of her appointment as a national ambassador, the actress said that cybercrime is a dangerous and pervasive threat that affects individuals, businesses, and communities worldwide. She also added that as someone who has experienced this firsthand, she was dedicated to raise awareness about these issues and promoting cyber safety to drive positive change.
Ending the note, she also emphasised a point stating that it is crucial that we come together to combat these threats and protect our digital spaces.
