After being indicted by the federal grand jury in New York, American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs pleaded not guilty to the charges pressed against him. He was charged with racketeering, sex trafficking by force, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The Lower Manhattan ruled out that Diddy will be held in jail without bail.

The rapper, who was arrested on Monday in a New York City hotel, appeared before the court on Tuesday.  He was also accused of running a criminal enterprise that relied on drugs and violence against women from at least 2008.

If convicted on all three counts, the rapper might face a sentence of 15 years up to life imprisonment. Above all the allegations, Diddy pleaded not guilty before the court headed by US Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky.

The court documents referred to Diddy’s sexual atrocities known as “Freak Offs” where distributed a variety of controlled substances to victims to keep them obedient and compliant. The documents also said that the rapper assaulted women by striking, punching, dragging, throwing objects at, and kicking them. It did not specify how many women were alleged victims. The injuries, reportedly, took days or weeks to heal.

Federal agents found firearms, ammunition, more than 1,000 bottles of lubricant, and three semi-automatic rifles with defaced serial numbers, and a variety of narcotics during raids on Diddy’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles, six months ago.

Denying all the accusations, Marc Agnifilo, Diddy’s lawyer, said that the rapper was the target of an unjust prosecution and revealed that the defense team had already launched an appeal against the judge’s bail decision, with a hearing set for Wednesday. Apart from Cassie Ventura, the rapper’s ex-girlfriend, four women have filed lawsuits accusing him of sexual and physical abuse.
