
"South Has Always Loved Hindi Films": Nani Responds to Salman Khan's Remarks (Image-X/UnanimousProds)
Natural star Nani, currently promoting his upcoming action entertainer directed by Sailesh Kolanu, HIT 3, has addressed Salman Khan’s recent remarks about Hindi movies struggling to get acceptance in South India. Nani refuted the claims, emphasising that the South has always embraced Hindi films for generations.
The actor is all set to deliver a raw and rustic action entertainer, HIT: The Third Case, on May 1. Extending the influence of the HIT franchise, the sequel will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
In a recent interview with DNA India, Nani reacted to the controversial statement made by Salman Khan about the South audience not accepting Hindi films.

Refuting the claims, the Hi Nana actor emphasised that Hindi cinema has long been cherished in South India and added that Bollywood has enjoyed love and admiration in the region for decades. Highlighting the influence of Hindi films in the south, Nani said, “Movies like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun have cultural importance there. ‘Didi Tera Dewar Deewana’ and other songs we used to play at our wedding.”
He further questioned, “Without Bollywood movies being a hit in the South, how did Salman become a superstar there?”

For the unversed, during the promotion of his latest film, Sikandar, Salman Khan stated that people in the South may call him “bhai bhai” with a lot of love when they see him in public, but they never show up in theatres to watch his films.
He further claimed that Hindi-speaking people accept South movies and make them successful, while South Indians never try to accept Hindi movies. The actor remarked that Bollywood cinema fails in the South due to a lack of acceptance for Hindi movies.
Nani also concluded by suggesting that Salman’s words might have been misunderstood.

HIT: The Third Case
Jointly produced by Nani’s Wall Poster Cinema and Unanimous Productions, HIT 3 stars Nani and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead roles, alongside Adil Pala, Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, and Maganti Srinath.
Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, HIT 3 revolves around SP Arjun Sarkaar (Nani), who investigates a high-priority case in Jammu and Kashmir, which involves a series of brutal serial killings. The film is tightly packed with intense storytelling and high-octane action sequences to offer a wholesome entertainer to a wider audience.
