Swara Bhasker Opens Up About The ‘Big Difference’ Between Kangana Ranaut And Herself

Edited by Hiba Anvar

Swara Bhasker recently, in an interview with Ishan, talked about the “big difference” between Kangana Ranaut and herself. The Bollywood actress and BJP leader, Kangana Ranaut, has issues with many people in Bollywood, and Swara Bhaskar is one of them. The two actresses shared the screen in Tanu Weds Manu in 2011 and Tanu Weds Manu Returns in 2015.

Kangana Ranaut has called Swara Bhasker a ‘B-grade actor’. She has earlier said that she had problems with Swara because she doesn’t agree with her opinions. In the latest interview, Swara Bhasker clarified that while the two may openly share their political views, there is nothing common between them. She said, “I just want to point out that a lot of people say ‘Kangana and you, Kangana and you’, but there is a big difference. Every time she raised her voice only in support of the government, I always raised my voice to question those in power.”

When enquired about getting offers from any political parties, Swara clarified that she hadn’t received any kind of offers from the political parties. The actress also shared that she liked Rahul Gandhi as a leader. “I think his vision, the issues he raises, and his efforts are all great for our country. The most important thing is that any politician who talks about love in our country, I will support that,” she said.

Swara has earlier mocked Kangana for starting the feminism movement with her 2013 Queen film, and in return, Kangana accused Swara of protecting movie mafias over nepotism in the Bollywood debate and the proceedings of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.

Swara has also in her earlier interview with Times Now Navbharat spoken about the indifference she had with Kangana. “People who become quite liberal and tolerant don’t like the views of anyone else. Maybe that’s what happened with her,” the actress said.
