On the occasion of Indian cinema icon Rajinikanth“s 73rd birthday, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan took to social media to extend warm wishes to the legendary actor. In a heartfelt post, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his admiration for Rajinikanth, referring to him as “Thalaiva,” a term of endearment commonly used by fans.

Though Shah Rukh Khan, one of the most successful actors in the globe and recognizable faces across the world, has never worked with Rajinikanth, the camaraderie between both stalwarts in the Indian film industry has always been evident, and this public acknowledgment further solidifies their mutual respect. Fans of both actors were quick to respond to the post, sharing their excitement and appreciation for the cross-cultural exchange of good wishes.
Shah Rukh Khan, however, has worked with the other superstar or Ulaganayagan from Tamil industry, Kamal Haasan in Hey Ram. In the last outing as an actor, Shah Rukh has worked with the blockbuster director from Atlee from Tamil industry, and rest is history. It is being reported that the King Khan might join Vijay, Thalapathy of Tamil industry, for project with Atlee.

Next big project of Rajinikanth is Vettaiyan, announced in March 2023as Thalaivar 170, written and directed by T. J. Gnanavel. Apart from Rajinikanth, the film boasts an ensemble cast spanning different industries from India’s movie fraternity including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan.
