On the occasion of Indian cinema icon Rajinikanth“s 73rd birthday, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan took to social media to extend warm wishes to the legendary actor. In a heartfelt post, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his admiration for Rajinikanth, referring to him as “Thalaiva,” a term of endearment commonly used by fans.
The tweet, shared on Tuesday read, “Here’s wishing the inimitable legend – @rajinikanth Thalaiva a very happy birthday! Big hugs from me (just one of the many “all the Rajini fans!”)… Lots of love sir and may you keep entertaining us for many years to come!!!”

Though Shah Rukh Khan, one of the most successful actors in the globe and recognizable faces across the world, has never worked with Rajinikanth, the camaraderie between both stalwarts in the Indian film industry has always been evident, and this public acknowledgment further solidifies their mutual respect. Shah Rukh Khan, however, has worked with the other superstar or Ulaganayagan from Tamil industry, Kamal Haasan in Hey Ram.
