Samantha's Father, Joseph Prabhu, Passes Away

Father of actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Joseph Prabhu, died. The actress announced the tragic news via Instagram. On her Instagram stories, she posted an emotional message, “Until we meet again, Dad,” with a broken heart emoji. The cause of his demise remains unknown.

Samantha was born to Joseph and Ninette Prabhu in Chennai.

Recently, in an interview with Galatta India, the Citadel: Honey Bunny actress had opened up about her “strained” relationship with her dad and how it had made a significant impact on her sense of self-worth. She recalled, “My father was kind of like… I think most Indian parents are like that. They think they’re protecting you.”

After her marriage with actor Naga Chaitanya ended in October 2021, Joseph Prabhu had taken to Facebook a year later to share throwback photos from their wedding.

He mentioned how long it took him to come to terms with their split and how he hoped for a new beginning. “Long long ago, there was a story. And it doesn’t exist anymore! So, let’s start a new story. And a new chapter!” he had captioned the post.
