The most anticipated Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2898 AD will finally hit the theaters today. With the US premiere’s overwhelming responses, the fans are going gaga for its release back home.
Fans are flocking to theaters to catch the first show of Kalki 2898 AD. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi film features Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bhachchan and Disha Patani in key roles. Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan’s role was revealed in the recently released two-minute and twenty-second trailer. He plays a sage in the Nag Ashwin directorial.
Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘ is being produced on a massive budget of Rs 600 crore, thus making it India’s most expensive film.
Apart from the star casts, the movie also featured a series of blockbuster cameos including Dulquer Salman, Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur.
The film revolves around a modern avatar of Lord Vishnu, who descended on Earth to protect the world from the forces of evil. The movie is set in a post-apocalyptic world.
The sci-fi is expected to break box-office records.

The film has already created a phenomenal buzz even before hitting theatres. As per the Business Standard report, the movie has already sold over 10 lakh tickets for the opening day, which is the highest so far in 2024, taking the first-day collection to Rs 37 crore.
