The pan-India dystopian science fiction, Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin and starring some of the biggest names in the Indian film industry such as Prabhas, Amitabh Bhachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and others. Touted to be the most expensive film in Indian cinema ever, the film is already breaking records.

According to Sacnilk, the film will earn a domestic debut of around Rs 120 crore and Rs 140 crore, and on worldwide level, around Rs 180 crore and Rs 200 crore. It is believed that the dystopian fiction has a chance of earning the third position in the history of Indian film industry to record an opening day haul of over Rs 200 crore, after Rajamouli’s RRR and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

The film has sold 1.4 million tickets, which is worth of Rs 38 crore, as per Sacnilk, an industry tracker. Reportedly, the film is expected to deliver an advance sale in the range of Rs 50 crore.

If the predictions come true, then Prabhas will claim three of the top five biggest openings ever. His highest was Baahubali 2 with Rs 121 crore, Salaar Part 1 with Rs 90.7 crore, and Saaho with Rs 89 crore.
