When Singh Met Sins: The Origin Of The Viral Bold Care Ad

Ranveer Singh has done it once again. In a departure from conventional advertising norms, the Bold Care ad features the unconventional duo Ranveer Singh and Johnny Sins taking a leaf out of Ekta Kapoor’s daily soap tropes, sparking conversations about sexual health in India.

According to Bollywood Hungama sources, it was Bollywood star Ranveer Singh who initiated the conversation with Johnny Sins. Reportedly, upon hearing the idea of getting Sins aboard, Singh stepped in to make it happen. Through his team, Ranveer got in touch with Johnny on Instagram, and within a week, the contract had been signed.

As per reports, both Ranveer and Johnny bonded over common topics and discussed each other”s work on a phone call. When Ranveer pitched the idea of an ad promoting sexual health in India, Johnny Sins immediately agreed. The adult film star shot the ad for two days after flying to India. And the rest is history.

Written by Tanmay Bhat, Deviah Bopanna, and Vishal Dayama and directed by Ayappa Km, the ad seamlessly blends humour while addressing two taboo topics: erectile dysfunction and women’s pleasure. The Bold Care ad has become the talk of the town, earning praise for its refreshing approach to an often stigmatised subject.

The Bold Care ad campaign marks a significant departure from traditional advertising strategies, signalling a shift towards more inclusive and open discussions surrounding sexual wellness. By bringing together two influential personalities from diverse backgrounds, the campaign aims to destigmatize conversations about sexual pleasure and promote a healthier, more empowered approach to intimacy.
