Its been 25 years since 1998, Monica Lewinsky became national headline after the infamous affair with then-US President Bill Clinton.

As she turned 50 this year, she is exceling the roles of a producer and activist. In conversation with Savannah Guthrie on ‘Today,’ Ms Lewinsky shared how she talked about her recent campaign for anti-bullying, how she is reclaiming her narrative and the process behind it.

“It’s not natural for me. But it was — you know, it’s a long journey from ‘98,” Ms. Lewinsky said. “It’s been 25 years now. And I’m grateful, I’m really grateful for where things are now,” she told People.

Being a victim of intense scrutiny and bullying from the public, Ms Levinsky has been, for years, a staunch advocate of anti-bullying. In relation to Bullying Prevention Month 2023, she teamed up with an agency, Mischief @ No Fixed Address, and released “Stand Up to Yourself,” anti-bullying ad campaign. The campaign discusses self-bullying and its role in diminishing one”s mental health.

Over the past few years, Ms Lewinsky is delivering speeches on the harmful effects of bullying and also a contributor to Bystander Revolution, an anti-bullying resource. She was interviewed on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver for their “Public Shaming” episode in 2019.

Besides, she is also vocal about mental health awareness, LGBTQ rights, and women’s rights.

In 2021, Ms. Lewinsky founded her production company, Alt Ending Productions, and signed a first-look deal with 20th Television. She also turned co-producer for the television series, the Impeachment: American Crime Story, depicting the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal in the perspective of Ms. Lewinsky.

Her upcoming projects include, “15 Minutes of Shame” on HBO Max, a documentary on the topic of modern public shaming. And there are also reports about her upcoming book in 2024.
