
'Punjab Lost Laughter': Actor-Comedian, Jaswinder Bhalla, Dies At 65 (Photo on X@Sage1709)
Chandigarh, Punjab: Punjabi actor and comedian, Jaswinder Bhalla died on Friday morning at Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Known for his sharp wit and comedy, the actor’s demise has left the fans in shock. As per reports, the comedian had been suffering from health-related ailments for the past few months, and was admitted to the hospital.
A major loss to the Punjabi entertainment industry, huge numbers of fans are pouring homages, sharing the nostalgic and iconic scenes of the veteran actor’s films. The final rituals of the actor will be performed on Saturday, August 23 in Mohali.

Paying tributes, a fan, Eknoor Singh Bajwa, lamented ‘Punjab lost its laughter today,’ highlighting that Bhalla was a man behind countless smiles and iconic one-liners. “His ‘chankata’ will echo forever,” Bajwajwajwa wrote on his X handle.
