Gujarat: 5-Year-Old Dies From Suspected Food Poisoning At Surat Restaurant

Surat, Gujarat: A family of five fell ill  after ordering from Shital Restaurant on August 15, and a five-year-old girl among them allegedly lost her live from suspected food poisoning from the food.

The girl died during treatment while other family members are still under treatment. After the incident, health inspectors found spoiled chana dal, uncovered vegetables, and exposed paneer.

The officials sealed the restaurant and planning action under the Food Safety Act. The case calls for routine checks nationwide to prevent such tragedies.
