Himanshu, the doctor at Maharishi Ayurveda Hospital, told News 18 that most of the dishes served at the restaurant are homemade and fresh. The intention behind Soma Restaurant is to encourage the fusion of Ayurveda and food, he added.

Continuing further, Himanshu said that social media is all curious to know how fast food items like Vada Pao and dumplings find their way into the healthy option menu. Vada Pao at the Soma Restaurant is entirely different from the ordinary stall-made food at any restaurant. The doctor claimed that their “Pao” is made of ragi, and in Ayurveda, it is known for generating a cooling effect. Similarly, for “Vada,” the chefs of the restaurant covered these potato balls with the nutritious Moong Daal. “Vada Pao at our restaurant is recommended for people who are suffering from Kapha Dosha,” Himanshu told News 18. According to Ayurvedic principles, Kapha Dosha is for those personalities who tend to remain lazy and relaxed throughout the day.

At Soma Restaurant, dumplings are served with a blend of wheat, beetroot, and a mix of ricotta, cottage cheese, and spinach. Beetroot carries detoxifying capacity, and spinach has an iron-rich profile and digestive ability, as per Ayurvedic knowledge and understanding.
