"Anti-National Forces Don't Take Advantage": Dharmendra Pradhan Resigns Amid Students' Protest
New Delhi: BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan has announced his resignation as Union Education Minister amid the CJP-led students protest in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, demanding his step down.
The central minister submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, July 25, following weeks of intense, youth-led nationwide protests demanding accountability over examination irregularities including recent NEET paper leak.
In his resignation letter submitted to PM Modi, Pradhan said that he resigns taking into consideration the future of students that they need to focus on studies instead of protest site. He said the resignation is given the situation at Jantar Mantar and across the country so that the anti-national forces do not take advantage.
Reacting to the education minister’s resignation, Cockroach Janta Party’s founder Abhijeet Dipke said “Democracy won”. The CJP leader, addressing the gathering at Jantar Mantar, further said that the fight is not yet over, and this is the beginning and this is just the first ticket.
