Cheer up… New milestone for India!
The Indian Space Research Organisation has released new and stunning images of far side of moon, captured by Chandraayan-3, on Monday.
The images were captured by the Lander Hazard Detection and Avoidance Camera (LHDAC) of Vikram, on Saturday. The lander will attempt a soft touchdown on 23 August around 5.45 in the evening and Vikram is set to land on the lunar surface around 6.04pm.
The image was taken during the lander”s search for a safe landing spot. The landing spot must be clear of boulders and trenches.
ISRO is keeping up the nation updated constantly. It was on Friday, ISRO shared two videos filmed by Chandrayaan-3.

The image looks like the darker side of the moon and craters are visible. The photos were taken on 19 August, a day before Vikram entered the pre-landing orbit. ISRO is now carrying internal checks on the landing module.
Chandrayaan-3 is India’s third and most recent lunar exploration under the project Chandrayaan. It consists of a lander named Vikram and a rover named Pragyan similar to Chandrayaan-2, but does not have an orbiter. Its propulsion module behaves like a communication relay satellite.
Creating a milestone in India’s lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3 was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on 14 July by ISRO. ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) is the national space agency of India operates under the Department of Space which is directly overseen by the Prime Minister.
It was recently Russia”s lunar mission – the Luna 25 – crash landed into the moon.
