Dense Fog Engulfs Several Areas in Rajasthan

The dense fog has engulfed several places in Rajasthan on Tuesday. Alwar, a city in the northern part of the state caught under a biting chill, and recorded a minimum of 2.5 degrees Celsius.

As per the reports from the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur, no slowdown in the ongoing cold wave is expected anytime soon.

In the last 24 hours, dense fog and cold wave situations were witnessed at many places in northern, western and eastern parts of Rajasthan. The minimum temperature was recorded at 2.5 degrees Celsius in Alwar, 4.2 degrees Celsius in Churu, 4.8 degrees Celsius in Bhilwara, 5.2 degrees Celsius in Pilani, 5.5 degrees Celsius in Chittorgarh and Sangaria and 5.8 degrees Celsius in Ganganagar, PTI reports.

Meteorological Centre wrote on X: “Dense fog, cold wave and cold conditions are likely to continue at isolated places in some parts of the state for the next three days. A slight increase in temperature is possible from January 26.”

Meanwhile, cold wave conditions and dense fog situations have been continuing in North India, especially in the capital city. Delhi-NCR region experienced dense fog on Tuesday morning. Following, a dense fog warning has been issued by the meteorological department on Monday and a yellow alert was also notified for the day. The road, rail and air travel has been affected by the situation. As the visibility reduced to zero, several flights operation have been delayed and cancelled.
