Dense fog covered parts of Delhi on Wednesday morning resulting in steep drop in visibility. The visibility in the region has almost dropped to zero. The cold wave condition in the national capital continues to prevail as the minimum temperature dropped to 7 degrees Celsius in the city.

Flights in and out from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport faced delays on Wednesday morning due to the heavy fog enveloping the region. ANI has reported that approximately 110 flights are facing delays in both arrival and departures. And 25 trains are also running late due to the fog condition in Delhi.

Due to the existing foggy condition in the region, authorities have suggested the departments to take up necessary actions to ensure smooth operation.

The Regional Meteorological data has said that Delhi is likely to witness clear sky with dense to very dense fog in many places. Entire North India has been facing a cold wave as temperature continues to dip in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Delhi-NCR.

The weather department has also predicted a fresh western disturbance which is likely to affect Northwest Indian from December 30. An isolated rainfall under its influence with lower-level easternly wind is predicted to shower upon Northwest and adjoining Central India from December 30 to January 2,2024.
