Union minister Ravneet Singh Bittu on Sunday called Gandhi the “number one terrorist” and an enemy of the country, targeting the Congress leader over his remarks on the Sikh community during his US visit.

Shiv Sena (Shinde) MLA Sanjay Gaikwad offered Rs 11 lakh to anyone who chopped off Gandhi’s tongue for his comments on scrapping the reservation system.

The BJP leader Tarvinder Singh Marvah can be heard in a video clip, warning the Congress leader from making such statements, referring to his remarks over the Sikh community, or else suffer the same “fate as dadi,” referring to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was assassinated in 1984.

A BJP leader and former MLA in Delhi is threatening to make her “fate like Dadi.””

He further emphasised the importance of respectful agreements between the ruling and opposition parties in the parliamentary arena, which enhances the prestige of democracy in the country. “Because due to such hate-mongering forces, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi had to sacrifice their lives. This political behaviour of the ruling party is the most rude example in democratic history,” stated Kharge.

The Congress president requested PM Modi to impose “discipline and decorum” on leaders of the BJP and its allies. Urging him to take strict action for such statements, Kharge added, “I trust that you will take the required action to ensure that these leaders immediately stop making violent statements.”
