The incident comes on the heels of growing outrage against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Jewish government over the continuous escalation of the conflict in Gaza, leaving thousands of Palestinians dead.

Amid increased aerial strikes, Israel continues to block aid to the war-ravaged strip, leaving hundreds to starvation-induced death. The move has caused widespread calls for an urgent end to what most people call a “genocidal offensive” against Palestinians.
