Ex-Union Minister R K Singh Questions Govt Stopping Patrolling At Arunachal Points, Alleges Chinese Presence
New Delhi: Former Union Minister and Home Secretary R K Singh has alleged that Prime Minister Modi-led BJP government has stopped patrolling certain Arunachal Pradesh points along the Line of Actual Control after 2014.
The former minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy questioned the government regarding whether Indian forces stopped patrolling specific points like Shera 5 in the Taksing area of Arunachal Pradesh. RK Singh had served as the minister in the Modi administration from 2017 to 2024.

In a video on his social media platform X, the former MP from Bihar’s Arrah parliamentary seat, Mr. Singh said he read a report recently which gave him worry, and it should worry all the citizens of our country. He pointed out that India appears to have abandoned a patrolling point called Shera 5 in Taksing in Arunachal, and the Chinese have established a prominent position there.

The former minster who have spent eight years in the Ministry of Defence and seven years in the Ministry of Home Affairs, then explained the dispute between India and China at the Arunachal Pradesh including the patrolling points.

A civil servant, who worked both in the Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Singh was the Home Secretary of India from 2011 to 2013. Singh joined the BJP in 2013 and contested the election as a saffron party candidate in Arrah, kickstarting his political career.
