Fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim has already died multiple times in media. Social media on Monday went abuzz when reports of Dawood’s death surfaced in the platform once more. As per the unconfirmed reports, Dawood Ibrahim was poisoned and admitted to hospital in Karachi at Pakistan in a critical condition.

This isn’t the first time the social media has exploded with excitement in India with news of Dawood being critical or dead. Dawood was hospitalised due to some serious health complications two days ago, as per India Today. He was kept under tight security inside the hospital. He was the only patient at the floor and only top hospital authorities and close family members were given access to his room.

Dawood Ibrahim who was claimed to be the mastermind behind 1993 Mumbai blasts and the most wanted criminal in India led a life in secrecy. But India had irrefutable evidence that the gangster resides in Karachi.

There has been previous speculation that the underworld don contracted Covid-19 or suffered a heart attack and died. But his gang rejected the allegation and confirmed that he is alive.

In 2020, media reports came out alleging that Dawood Ibrahim along with his wife got affected by the Covid-19 virus and the virus took their lives. This was later proved to be wrong. But indeed, the virus took the life of his nephew Siraj Kaskar in Karachi.

In 2017, reports came out claiming that the gangster died of heart attack while some suggested that he had brain tumor. But all this news’s were trashed, when his right-hand man confirmed the good health of underworld don.

In 2016, another report came out saying that Dawood Ibrahim got gangrene on his legs and doctors might have to amputate them. But this was also later turned out to be false.

Pakistan when submitted a list to global anti-terror funding body Financial Action Task Force (FATF), they included the name of Dawood Ibrahim with it which confirmed the location of Dawood.

Dawood Ibrahim established a crime syndicate known as D-company under which the gang organised crimes, including murder, extortion, targeted killings, drug trafficking and terrorism.

Since 2003, India and US has labelled Dawood Ibrahim as a global terrorist. An amount of $23 million is announced by the US leading to his capture. In 2011, he was enlisted as number three on the FBI’s “The World’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives” list.
