“In This Era Of Dictatorship, Manish Sisodia’s Courage Inspires Us All”: Kejriwal’s Birthday Wish

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, extended heartfelt birthday wishes to his longstanding friend and party colleague, Manish Sisodia, who is presently in judicial custody at Tihar Jail. Sisodia is facing charges in connection with an alleged excise policy scam.

In a statement, Kejriwal expressed the enduring strength of their friendship and trust, emphasizing their shared commitment to public service. Despite the challenges posed by what he referred to as “false cases” filed by the BJP, Kejriwal asserted that the bond of trust, affection, and friendship between them remains unbroken.

Highlighting the purported 11-month confinement of Sisodia, Kejriwal accused the BJP of employing tactics to suppress dissent. He claimed that Sisodia has steadfastly resisted their oppression, portraying him as a symbol of courage amid what he termed an “era of dictatorship.”

Kejriwal concluded his birthday message with optimism, asserting that the unwavering spirit of his incarcerated colleague would continue to inspire others in the face of adversity.

Here is the full birthday wish from Kejriwal:

This friendship is very old. Our affection and trust is very strong. This passion of working for the public is also very old. No matter how hard the conspirators try… this trust, this affection and this friendship will never be broken.

BJP has kept Manish in jail for the last 11 months by filing false cases. But Manish is standing firm in front of their oppression, has neither bowed down to their dictatorship till now nor will ever bow down in future. In this era of dictatorship, Manish”s courage inspires us all.

Happy birthday Manish.”

Yesterday, rumours were rife that the Delhi chief minister would also meet the fate of his former deputy in the same case.
