Janata Dal (United) MP Sunil Kumar Pintu said on Thursday that Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc meetings were limited to chai-samosas until seat distribution took place. In the latest remark, Sunil Kumar Pintu, who represents the Bihar“s Sitamarhi parliamentary constituency, said: “INDIA bloc meetings are limited to chai-samosas until seat distribution takes place.”

Previously, Janata Dal (United) MP has evoked controversy for lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi for BJP“s victory in the recent assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. Pointing out the praises, Sunil Kumar Pintu said he was only stating facts because people in the states of Hindi heartland believes in Prime Minister. “We must understand and consider people’s choices and work on our strategies for the upcoming elections,” India Today quotes as he is saying.

Janata Dal (United) MP added he was with the BJP and would continue as a BJP man at heart. He then said he was sent to JD(U) by the BJP, and was ready to resign anytime, when Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, asked him. Besides, Sunil Kumar Pintu stated that he was not comfortable contesting in the upcoming General Elections in alliance with Lalu Prasad Yadav”s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

The controversy erupted two days before, when Sunil Kumar Pintu praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and called BJP”s poll slogan after hearing election results. Citing BJP”s win 3 out of 5 states, Sitamarhi MP said: “Seeing the election results, this shows that “Modi hai toh mumkin hai” (Modi makes it possible). The BJP had given this slogan in the assembly elections,” he said. His praise has evoked sharp reaction from the JD(U).
