India on Wednesday broke it”s previous Asian Games medal records as the country earned 73 medals now and is still counting. India“s earlier record was 70.
Pride and contentment is at its peak as a bunch of Indian youth has surpassed the Asian Games records of their forerunners and is racing on the tracks of China”s Hangzhou to earn more.
India achieved it”s best ever medal tally on Wednesday by winning 73 medals, striking down the previous best of 70 medals in 2018 Asian Games. In 2018, where India competed at the tracks of Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, the nation bettered its previous best medal haul achieved eight years earlier at the China hosted 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou.
India bagged 16 gold, 23 silver, and 31 bronze in the 2018 AG ranking 8th from the top position.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday took the “”proud moment”” to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and congratulated the “unparalleled dedication, grit and sporting spirit”” of India”s athletes who compete in the ongoing Asian Games.
