Massive Fire Breaks Out At Bengaluru's Veerabhadra Nagar Bus Depot

A massive fire broke out at a bus depot near a garage in Bengaluru”s Veerabhadra Nagar. Private buses parked in the depot caught fire in the shocking incident. Initial reports suggest that at least 22 buses parked in the depot have been gutted by fire. The incident occurred at a bus depot located on Nice Road.


Reports also suggest that no casualties or injuries have been reported so far. Fire engines are currently on the spot, and a firefighting operation is underway. ANI has posted a video of the incident. In the video, a cloud of black smoke can be seen rising from the spot. A senior Fire Department official reportedly said that at least four buses that were parked at a garage caught fire and added that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

The police said that the incident happened when welding work was being carried out on the parts of one of the parked buses in the garage, and the fire later spread to other buses. The police officer also added that out of 35 buses parked at the garage, a total of 22 buses caught fire. 18 buses were completely burnt and four buses were partially damaged. A detailed investigation is underway to find out the exact reason behind the incident.
