Bengaluru, Karnataka: Commuters using the Electronics City flyover and Attibele toll plaza will now have to shell out more for their daily travel, as Bangalore Elevated Tollway Private Limited (BETPL) has announced a hike in toll rates across vehicle categories starting Tuesday, July 2. This revision comes after a two-year hiatus in fare adjustments.

Cars, jeeps, and vans will now pay Rs 40 for a single trip, up from Rs 35, while return journey tolls remain at Rs 55. Monthly pass holders for this category will see a Rs 40 increase in charges.

Light commercial vehicles and minibuses will pay Rs 65 for a single trip, a Rs 5 increase, while return fares remain at Rs 95. The hike, BETPL said, aligns with periodic adjustments outlined in its concession agreement. The last toll revision occurred in 2022.

For daily commuters, particularly those traveling between central Bengaluru and Electronics City, the price bump adds to an already costly routine.
