Bengaluru: Man Arrested For Allegedly Strangling Live-In Partner To Death After a Heated Argument
Bengaluru, Karnataka: Following a series of heated arguments between a live-in partner couple, a 27-year-old man murdered his 20-year-old partner in Bengaluru’s Malleswaram area last week.
Police have arrested the accused man, identified as Sharath, for allegedly strangling his live-in partner, 20-year-old Anusha, to death. Both are residents of Sakleshpur in Hassan district in Karnataka.

According to the reports, the couple met on social media platform Instagram and had been living together in a rented house in Malleswaram for the past six months. Last week, a heated argument broke out between the two on certain personal issues. Following that, Sharath allegedly strangled Anusha to death, police said.
The incident came to light on Monday as Sharat, an employee of a water tanker driver in the city, allegedly confided in his lawyer, who subsequently informed the police.

Seshadripuram police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and launched an investigation. The police arrested the accused and registered a case in connection with the incident. Officials are interrogating Sharath to ascertain the exact motive behind the murder.
