Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the Modi government and said it is using all the agencies, institutions, arms, wings, and departments of the government as ‘Pracharaks’.

Kharge shared his view through the post he shared on X handle. “ In view of protecting our democracy and our Constitution, it is imperative that the orders which would lead to the politicising of Bureaucracy and our Armed Forces must be withdrawn immediately,” he wrote on X.

Along with the post he attached the letter he penned to Prime Minister Modi pointing out the flaws of government machinery. The two-page letter consists of six points explaining the flaws. He brought into the attention of Prime Minister the gross misuse of government machinery taking place in the country.

Initially he pointed out the recent letter in the public domain in which the senior officers of high ranks were to be deployed to all 765 districts of India. They were deployed as “Rath Prabharis” to showcase their achievements of the last 9 years of Government of India. He then said that the last 9 years coincides with the tenure of Narendra Modi. “This is a grave concern for multiple reasons,” he added.

Kharge expressed his disappointment for only considering the achievements of last nine years and he said that this is transparently political order in the run up to the five state elections and general elections of 2024.

He then reminded that if senior officers are being deputed for marketing activity, then the governance of our country will grind to a halt for the next six months. And now the Jawan of our country who should be focused to defend the nation is busy preparing scripts and manuals on how to promote government schemes, he said.

Kharge adviced the Prime Minister to keep the Armed Forces out of politics as the Jawan”s deserve complete freedom on their annual leave and thus it is inappropriate to take away the leaves for political purposes.

Kharge concluded the letter by asking the government to withdraw the above mentioned orders immediately.
