Thiruvananthapuram Congress MP Shashi Tharoor during his visit to Wayanad district of Kerala, he was invited by the Grand Mufti of India Ustad Dr Shaikh Abubakar Kanthapuram Musaliyar at his Majlis in Markaz Knowledge City.
The Congress MP expressed his joy for being called by the ‘legendry Grand Mufti of India’ on X. He wrote, “Called on the legendary Grand Mufti of India, Ustad Dr Shaikh Abubakar Kanthapuram Musaliyar, at his Majlis in Markaz Knowledge City. It has been a great pleasure over the years to enjoy his goodwill and blessings in my endeavours in public life. His son Ustad Abdul Hakkim Azhari was also present.”

Tharoor also shared the images of his visit to the Grand new Masjid in the Markaz Knowledge City. He appreciated the tasteful décor and fine craftsmanship of the infrastructure. He was accompanied by the Kanthapuram’s son Usthad Abdul Hakim and his friend Siddiq Ssaqafi for his tour in the mosque.

He later then visited the Ali Global School in Markaz knowledge City and enjoyed a lively interaction with the students of the school, who was hailed from a number of Gulf countries as well as Kerala.
During his visit in Wayand, Shashi Tharoor also visited the District Congress Committee office in Wayanad of Congress and met with a wide variety of colleagues. “Great to see the high level of preparedness & the prevalent spirit of confidence in taking on the challenges of the 2024 elections!”, he wrote on X.
