Singer Maqsood M Ali has complained with the Karnataka Lokayukta against the IAS Officer Rohini Sindhuri, her husband Sudhir Reddy and her brother-in-law Madhusudhan Reddy, accusing them of land grabbing.

The singer confirmed the filing through his X post on Thursday. He has shared the image of the complaint. The document listed the names of Rohini Sindhuri, Sudhir Reddy, Madhusudhan Reddy, Yelanhanka New Town ACP Manjunath, a Yelanhanka New Town Sub-Inspector and Taluk surveyor Manohar.

The complaint alleges unlawful acquisition of land belonging to singer Luck Ali, raising concerns over property rights and legal resources in such matters. According to him, Sindhuri, her husband, and her ‘political’ brother-in-law have used State machinery and money to illegally encroach upon land.

The case has been registered at Yelahanka New Town police station in the city. The issue of trust-owned farmland between the singer and senior IAS officer is long-standing.

And this was not the first incident Ali has alleged land grabbing. He had earlier come up with similar allegations in December 2022. He had tagged the Director General of Police, Karnataka in a thread and said that his farm, which is a trust property, was being encroached on illegally by Sudhir Reddy and Madhu Reddy from Banglore land mafia with the help of Sindhuri.

The IAS officer who is named in this case is involved in another separate legal dispute with IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil. In February 2023, she was accused by Moudgil in Facebook posts of sharing private pictures with fellow IAS officers. This dispute led to the State government transferring both officers.

The matter then further reached the apex court. The officers were given several opportunities to settle their differences and “work out a solution which will be in the interest of both”. Sindhuri later sought an apology from D Roopa for social media posts which the IPS officer removed after intervention of the court.
